1 Peter 5

In the closing of his book, Peter addresses the leaders and elders encouraging them to lead well and to follow Christ as their example of leadership. We as REAL men are called to minister to others, serving them before being served.. We should eagerly invest in others not as lords, but as examples.

Peter is issuing a motive check in this chapter for us to lead not for selfish gain but to serve voluntarily and humbly. He asks us a question, "Are you motivated by the will of God or by personal gain?" When the pastor recognizes you from the pulpit, does it fill you with personal pride or thankfulness to God that His influence speaks clearly through your life's example of humility.

We have all been given talents and we should use them for God's glory and allow His Spirit to radiate through our lives as we unite together as REAL Men.
