John 20

What better chapter for any Christian in the New Testament than this one? After the brief sorrow of seeing THE SAVIOR get treated the way HE was, here we come upon 'The Third Day'.

It's the morning when Mary goes to the tomb and finds it empty. Peter and John come and check it out and find her story to be true. They went back home, but "Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping." Then she saw who she thought was the gardener. After a quick conversation with Him, she realized who He was after He spoke her name.

Later that evening, Jesus appeared unto the disciples also. 8 days later, the disciples were gathered together again and this time 'doubting Thomas' was there with them. Here Jesus tells Thomas that those who don't doubt and believe when they don't see are blessed.

REAL men, let's not be guilty of having to see Jesus work before we believe—like Thomas. Let's not be guilty of looking at Jesus and not knowing his face—like Mary. Let's be the sheep that know His voice and let's believe on Him even though we haven't seen with our eyes His wounds. Let's believe on Him because He is the I AM!

Verse 31 says "These are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name."

God is Jesus and in the name of Jesus we have life and life more abundantly!
